Purpose of this map
We want to provide a mechanism for people to share the following:
- Share where you feel safe. For example, perhaps you like a trail connection and want others to know about it.
- Share where you feel unsafe. For example, perhaps you feel unsafe walking in a specific location without a sidewalk.
- Suggest a change to make traveling safer or easier. For example, suggest a bench at a transit stop, an ideal bicycle rack location, or perhaps a change to the layout of an intersection or street.
- Share a close call. A close call is a situation in which something bad, unpleasant, or dangerous almost happens but you manage to avoid it. For example, perhaps someone traveled at an uncomfortable space from you or you almost experienced a crash.
The information entered in this application is not monitored on a day-to-day basis and is not intended for matters that require immediate attention. This website is intended for gathering data for evaluating our streets. Staff will not be individually responding to comments on the map.
If you were involved in a crash or need police assistance, please contact the Wauwatosa Police Department at 414-471-8430 (non-emergency) or 9-11 (emergency). If you have a street, sidewalk, or other maintenance request that requires attention, please fill out a service request form.
